I'm sitting here in my air conditioned office wishing for fall. I'm really trying to embrace summer this year (the hubby and I bought seasons tickets to a water park!) but I have a hard time embracing 100+ degree weather. Normally on Friday's I like to wear jeans but this morning a simple, cool sundress sounded better to me :)

The belt and blue stripes in the dress are more navy and the shoes are more cobalt but I think it works :)

Good Things Come to Those Who Wait

I have been eyeing these wedges at Target since they first came out. I would check week after week and was so excited when they started marking them down! They originally were $29.99 and are now finally 70% off at one of the Target's I frequent, so I paid $8.98 for them. I originally was eyeing the blue/green ones, but after seeing the gray/yellow ones, I decided to get both! (I have a really bad habit of buying the same thing in different colors). However, I got 2 pairs for a little over half of what 1 pair cost :)

A Wedge. A Boot. A Slipper.

So I'm a little bummed, I bought these super cute wedges at Target on Friday for $8.98 (+ tax). However, they are a little too wide for my foot so I have to take them back :(

All is not lost though! I had a $10 coupon ($10 off any purchase of $10 or more) to DSW so I went there on Saturday and of course headed straight for the Clearance section. After browsing all the clearance in my size (which is quite a bit - I usually look in the 5 1/2 and 6), it was down to 3 pairs - gold, glittery Guess heels, nudish/taupish/oliveish Steve Madden peep toe heels or G by Guess ankle boots. They were all 70% off so all were around $17-$20 before my coupon. I knew I was only going to get 1 pair (since I try to spend as little as possible) so the narrowing down process began. I already have some glittery heels and the Steve Madden ones were kind of a weird color so I narrowed it down to the ankle boots. Here they are!

I love the zipper and buckles on them! I'm super excited to wear these in the fall with a pair of skinny jeans, a simple shirt, black leather (like) fitted jacket and some fun accessories!

I also bought a pair of super soft fuzzy slippers that were 80% off. Another item I'll put back until fall...or maybe give them as a Christmas present!

After my coupon, the boots were around $8 and the slippers were around $3, so my total with tax was $12.38 :)

Cents of Style

Hello loveleigh's!

I recently started following the blog Lilly's Style. I found her via Pinterest and she has great style! It's fun to look at other blogs and get ideas and wardrobe inspirations! It's also fun to discover new sites as well! Yesterday she mentioned a giveaway from a website called Cents of Style. Green with Envy

Hello loveleigh's! After I got off work Friday, I went to the Target that was close by. I was meeting the hubby for a movie (Snow White and the Huntsman) not far away so I had some time to kill. (Always a great excuse!) :) I picked up another pair of colored pants (like the Magenta ones in my previous post)...this time in green! For $6.88, it's okay to buy in multiple colors! :)

I went to Kohl's on Sat and found these cute little ballet flats. They were $12.99 and I had a 15% off coupon so they were $11.05 + tax.

I also picked up a basic gray long sleeved shirt for $1.70! I love grabbing basics like this for next to nothing. Everyone needs them and they are perfect for layering!

Hello loveleigh's!! Rachael Ray has a show called $40 a Day. She travels to different places around the world and has a $40/day budget for food. And lastly, I grabbed these adorable gray leggings in the kid's department on the way out. I love the bow at the bottom - so cute!! And for $2.98?! Can't even get my fav drink at Starbucks for that!!
